George
Mitchell - Why Regal became involved
After
initially being contacted by a local working mens club, to
come up with an original raffle prize for a fund raising
evening for George Mitchell, Regal wanted to find out some
more about the little boy who people were starting to talk
about in Bromsgrove, and the plight of his family to get
him to America for some pioneering surgery to save his life.
Regal management were in a regular meeting when the idea
was put forward to sponsor a website in which people
could make donations, therefore helping
to raise the necessary £70,000 cash needed to get George and his family
to America, to Dr Patrick Kelly a specialist Neurosurgeon in this particular
type of tumour, known as Pilocytic Astrocytoma’. Dr Kelly believes
he can remove the tumour and prevent any further spread of the disease.
Regal have therefore set this webpage where anyone can learn more about the seriousness
of Georges illness, but more importantly, make a donation to this worthy
cause on line !
To make a donation simply send an email to Georges' parents who will contact you with details of the special bank facilities which have been set up.
Furthermore,
for every genuine pledge made and monies received, Regal
will donate a further 25 pence.
